Oatlands

Oatlands township is an active community centre for the Southern Midlands Municipality.

Originally named by Govenor MacQuarie in 1821, it has retained many of its Georgian sandstone buildings and remains one of the finest examples of an historic village in Australia.

Ideally situated alongside the Heritage Highway, Oatlands is within easy driving distance to Hobart, Launceston, Orford, Swansea and the highland trout lakes.
